Search X by keyword, account, date and engagement. Choose your filters, then copy the query or open the results on X.
High engagement thresholds can hide new conversations. For recent questions, try leaving them empty.
These operators are included for advanced users. Location, source, card and native-repost searches have limited or reported broken behavior. They may return nothing even when matching posts exist.
X advanced search helps you narrow a broad topic to particular words, people and dates. This tool turns those choices into the text you would otherwise type in X’s search bar. Every field is optional, so start with the smallest search that answers your question.
Enter a topic or a handle. Use All words for combined terms, Any words for alternatives, or an exact phrase for wording you remember.
Add dates, minimum likes or a content filter. Keep the search broad enough to find new posts, especially when looking for questions to answer.
Choose Latest or Top, then search on X. Copy the query for the X app or Fireply’s keyword field. X sign-in is required to view results.
Use these as starting points. Replace the example accounts, topics and dates with your own. Searching an account does not require knowing its numeric user ID.

| Operator | What it does |
|---|---|
word1 word2 | Both words, anywhere in the post. Spaces mean AND. |
"exact phrase" | Keep words together in this order. |
(word1 OR word2) word3 | Either alternative, plus word3. OR is uppercase; parentheses keep alternatives grouped. |
-word -"exact phrase" | Exclude a word or phrase. |
#hashtag $ticker | Search hashtags or cashtags. |
from:username to:username @username | Posts by an account, replies to it, or posts mentioning it. |
-from:username -#tag -$ticker | Exclude an author, hashtag or cashtag. |
lang:en -lang:es | Include or exclude a language. Language detection is not always exact. |
since:YYYY-MM-DD until:YYYY-MM-DD | On or after the first date; before the second. The until date is excluded. |
min_faves:100 min_retweets:10 min_replies:5 | Minimum likes, reposts and replies in website search; these are not X API operators. |
filter:images filter:videos filter:media | Narrow to images, videos, or media. Combining filters adds conditions. |
filter:links -filter:links url:domain.com | Require links, exclude them, or search for text in linked URLs. |
filter:replies filter:quote filter:self_threads | Find reply posts, quote posts or self-replies in threads. |
filter:verified filter:blue_verified filter:follows | Account-based filters. Following depends on the X account running the search. |
list:ID conversation_id:ID | Search list members or a conversation using its numeric ID. |
since_time:UNIX until_time:UNIX within_time:2d | Timestamp or rolling-time filters. These advanced operators are less documented; fixed dates are a useful fallback. |
The minus sign excludes many terms and filters, but not every operator supports it: this builder does not offer a negative list or follows filter. Legacy repost filters are not an exact substitute for “include all reposts.” For the complete reference, including location, source, card types and known limitations, read the Fireply search operator guide.
Open this page on your phone and use the same fields as on desktop. A compact query preview keeps the search and copy actions within reach as you edit. Tap Search on X when ready, or copy the query into the app. No browser extension is needed.
If you are finding an old tweet, combine an account with a date range before adding more filters. “Before” is deliberately exclusive, matching X’s until: operator. For example, a one-day search uses that day as the start and the next day as the end.

Yes. Building queries, copying links and saving up to ten searches in this browser are free. You do not need a Fireply account. The tool creates a search query; X provides the results.
You can use this builder without logging in. To view search results, you need to sign in to X. This tool does not bypass X’s login or show protected posts.
Enter a start date in On or after and an end date in Before. The end date is excluded: to search all of June, use June 1 and July 1. Add an account or keyword to make the search more specific.
Put your handle in From these accounts and select a date range. Add a word or exact phrase you remember. Search results can be incomplete; for a personal record, request your X account archive instead.
This builder works in a mobile browser. Set your filters and tap Search on X, or copy the query into the X app’s search box. Whether the link opens the app or website depends on your device settings.
All words requires every word to match: startup marketing means startup AND marketing. Any words uses uppercase OR inside parentheses. For words that must stay together, use the exact-phrase field.
You can set a minimum number of likes with min_faves:. That filters the results; it does not sort them by like count. Top is X’s ranked view, while Latest is its recent-results view. Neither is a guaranteed complete archive.
Start with just a word or an account. Remove engagement thresholds, conflicting filters and legacy operators, then add conditions back one at a time. Check that the end date is later than the start. X’s indexing, privacy rules and search settings also affect which posts appear.
Copy the generated query into Fireply’s keyword field. That field accepts 3–450 characters, using Latin letters, numbers and basic search punctuation. Queries outside those limits can still be opened on X. Check the results first: they can change with the account, time and X’s search behavior.
When a query finds useful posts, save it and check the actual conversations before narrowing it further. A high like count signals popularity, but it does not tell you whether your reply would be relevant.
